1. First Working Holiday Visa

This visa allows people between 18 and 30 years old (or 35 years old for some countries) to travel to Australia for an extended holiday and take up short-term work to fund their trip.

  • Eligibility
    • Must hold a passport from an eligible country or jurisdiction.
    • Aged 18–30 (or 35 for some countries).
    • Must apply from outside Australia.
    • Cannot be accompanied by dependent children.
    • Cannot have previously held a subclass 417 or 462 visa.
  • With this visa, you can
    • Work short-term in Australia to help fund your trip.
    • Study for up to 4 months.
    • Travel to and from Australia as many times as you want.
    • Do 3 months of specified work to qualify for a second Working Holiday visa.
2. Second Working Holiday Visa

This visa allows individuals who have previously held a subclass 417 visa to return for a second working holiday in Australia.

  • Eligibility
    • Must have previously held a subclass 417 visa.
    • Must be 18 to 30 years old (or 35 for some countries).
    • Must have completed 3 months of specified work in Australia.
  • With this visa, you can
    • Continue working short-term to fund your holiday.
    • Study for up to 4 months.
    • Travel to and from Australia as many times as you wish.
    • Complete 6 months of specified work to qualify for a third Working Holiday visa.
3. Third Working Holiday Visa

This visa allows individuals who have already held two Working Holiday visas to return for a third working holiday in Australia.

  • Eligibility
    • Must have previously held 2 subclass 417 visas.
    • Must be 18 to 30 years old (or 35 for some countries).
    • Must have completed 6 months of specified work in Australia.
  • With this visa, you can
    • Continue short-term work in Australia.
    • Study for up to 4 months.
    • Travel to and from Australia as many times as you wish.
